Last month, the football season started (you US-ies will read 'soccer'). YAY! And Feyenoord is off to a very decent start, considering last season was one of the horrible in the passed 25 years or so. After 6 matches so far, they're in 2nd position, with the same amount of points as numbers 1 and 3. Four wins, two losses. I can live with that. Next weekend we play a home match against the number one. Go go go!
Meanwhile, my fantasy football team (Profcoach) stinks. I even managed to score less points in the second round of the game than my brother. Now for those of you who don't know: that says a lot.
Then again, there's 28 more matches to go, so I'll think of it as giving the 9 who are ahead of me (out of 12 >_<) a small lead to make things more exciting. I am, of course, last season's champion.
But there's more! I saw what Adebayor did to Robin van Persie last weekend. Utterly disgusting. He didn't mean to, it wasn't on purpose. Yeah, right... if your foot goes towards a players face and speeds up the last bit, I'm not even going to listen to you. Hope he gets banned for a while. I suggest 6 matches and on probation for the rest of the season.
He also, after scoring, ran like 80 meters to the Arsenal fans to taunt them. Very classy. Worth a fine by the club, in my opinion. Supposedly, Van Persie had said a few bad words to the Manchester City fans. If so, that's no good and he should get a fine, as well.
Anyway, the season is on the way in all important football countries (read: Western, middle and Southern Europe) so my basic mood is up by 5% automatically. Unless Feyenoord loses next weekend, then it'll be down by 50% I guess.
